In China, apart from Hubei province, the epicentre of the epidemic, only nine new cases have been reported on February 24 (WHO Situation Report–36), a continuation of the trend of the last few weeks. Even in Hubei, figures of those infected have dropped to below 500, far removed from about 2,500 per day we were seeing only two weeks back.
