Naresh Gujral, Rajya Sabha member from the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has written to Delhi Police commissioner Amulya Pattnaik expressing “disappointment” at the forces for not taking any action on his complaint lodged on the night of February 26 to rescue 16 persons from the Muslim community trapped in a house near Gonda Chowk of Maujpur in Northeast Delhi due to a mob trying to break into their premises.
