Ramaswami: The TNPPU organised a convention on December 26 at Saidapet in Chennai, against CAA, NRC and NPR in which Prakash Karat, P Chidambaram, Kanimozhi, Thol Thirumavalavan, Professor Jawahirullah of MNMK and other leaders participated. Various sections of people attended the meeting and the good media coverage ensured that the message of the convention reached lakhs of people in the state. The TNPPU gave a call to all Muslim parties from various minority organisations in this state to join hands and all the Muslim parties’ leaders unanimously accepted the leadership of TNPPU to take forward the struggle against CAA, NPR and NRC in the future. They have arrived at concrete decisions to conduct the movement in various forms in the state. More than 25 lakh pamphlets were printed and distributed throughout the state from January 26 to January 30 in more than 500 centers. The members reached out to lakhs of houses, shops and other establishments. Leaders from various political parties and eminent personalities in the state also participated in the campaign.
