Ramaswami: The contagious logic of this disease is such that it calls for isolation. It compels individuals to take immediate measures to maximise quarantine. We are ‘alone’ (not just in the crowd), but socially and literally distant from each other while living in the society. Ironically, the only way we can apparently help each other is through maintaining distance, or by accepting imprisonment at home, which we already have.
