Ramaswami: Tamil Nadu is among the states with the highest number of COVID-19 positive cases in the country. There were several lapses by the government in identifying and isolating the COVID-19 patients. Not only that, the route map of the patients were not accurately traced and published, as had been done in the neighbouring state of Kerala. Further, adequate safety measures for health care workers were also neglected. All these resulted in the spike of positive cases, death of a doctor and infection of many health care workers and journalists in the state.
