Ramaswami: Yesterday, two major developments emerged regarding the import of rapid testing kits from China which show that amid the pandemic and people dying, the profit motive is still strong. The Delhi High Court had to intervene regarding the kits being bought at 145% the price at which they were imported from China. Meanwhile, questions regarding the quality of these kits were also raised. We’re still seeing a rise in cases and at the same time, talking about easing restrictions. At this point, confusion regarding these testing kits is extremely dangerous.
