Ramaswami: The central government has refused to come forward to do this despite there being no shortage of resources. Hundreds of thousands of crores are being collected in the name of fighting the pandemic by a trust that carries the Prime Minister’s name. This money would be more than sufficient to create the support infrastructure that can play an effective role in containing the pandemic.
