During the 34 years rule of the Left Front, there was complete communal harmony. No one ever witnessed any kind of communal riot. Even during 1984 and 2002, both the Sikh and the Muslim Community lived without any fear or coercion. West Bengal was regarded as a paradise for all communities. To, Mamata has turned West Bengal into a den of both Hindutva and Islamic militants. Manufacturing of bombs, country made pistols and other ammunition has taken the form of small scale industry. Mamata is supporting both of them for her political survival. During last six years of her misrule, the number of training centres of both the RSS and Islamic militants have increased manifolds. The entire state is sitting on the mouth of an active volcano.

নির্বাচন কমিশনারের বিবৃতি শুনে কিন্তু মনে হচ্ছে, নির্বাচন অবাধ ও শান্তিপূর্ণ রাখতে কমিশন বদ্ধপরিকর। যদি সত্যিই নির্বিঘ্নে মেটে ভোটপর্ব, কমিশন তার হৃত গৌরব কিছুটা হলেও পুনরুদ্ধার করবে। আর যদি তা না হয়, দায় শুধু পুলিশের উপর নয়, কমিশনের উপরেও বর্তাবে। আরও এক বার এ-ও প্রমাণ হবে যে ভোটের আগে কমিশনের দেওয়া প্রতিশ্রুতিগুলি রুটিন বিবৃতি মাত্র।

The result is abnormal increase in communal violence throughout the country, as a result of which innocent people from both the religions are becoming victims and losing their life and properties. Both Bhagwat and Barkat should be forced to live jointly in a piggery till good sense prevails over them and they refrain from disturbing the secular fabric of the country.

The son of Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel was barred from boarding a flight on Monday after turning up “heavily drunk” at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport near Ahmedabad , IANS reported. Jaimin Patel, accompanied by his wife Jhalak and daughter Vaishvi, was prevented from boarding a Qatar Airways flight to Greece on account of his inebriated condition and for arguing with airline staff. The flight was to take off at 4 am on Monday.

তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের রাজত্বে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রামরাজ্যে পরিণত হওয়ার দাবি বোধহয় এবার করতেই পারে। আর এস এস – বি জে পি-র সঙ্গে হিন্দুত্বের প্রতিযোগিতায় নেমেছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী, আর তাঁর দলবলকে নামিয়ে দিয়েছেন হনুমান বন্দনায়। কিন্তু রামনামের খেতাব অর্জনে এসব তো বাইরের আয়োজন। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধায়ের সুশাসনে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ‘রামরাজ্য’র শিরোপা পেতেই পারে তার ‘উন্নয়নের’ জন্য।
