On 14th October, 2009 in a press meet Mamata Banerjee demanded immediate stoppage of joint operation in Lalgarh and withdrawal of joint forces from there. She alleged that they have been torturing the common people and the state power is being used against the people. She also informed that TMC leader Shri Partha Chatterjee, being the leader of the opposition, and others will meet the sympathetic Governor of West Bengal soon with the same demands. She also alleged ridiculously that the CPI (M) cadres were directly responsible for all the blowing up of rail-tracks, railway stations, school buildings, mobile towers and so on taking place in Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa, Chathisgarh, Maharashtra and other states of the country. She certified that there is no Maoist in West Bengal. All the news and reportings involving the Maoists are bogus, fabricated and concocted stories. All the murders and destructions taking place in Lalgarh and other places are the handiwork of the CPI (M).
Within hours of this press meet, Kishanji, the topmost Maoist leader, by way of message over mobile to the media, welcomed the utterings and demands of Mamata Banerjee and conveyed the gratitude and appreciation of CPI (Maoist) to her. He also encouraged her asking to continue her agitation and pressure on the Central Government.
There is no denying the fact that the Maoists have wrecked havoc in different parts of the country. Thousands of innocent people and police personnel have already been butchered brutally by them. Despite repeated requests, they are not in a mood to negotiate peacefully and take part in the normal process within the framework of the Indian Constitution. On the other hand, they deny and defy the Indian Constitution. They are hell bent on capturing state power by fierce means forcefully.
Mamata Banerjee holds an important portfolio in the Central Government of Dr. Manmohan Singh who has declared again and again that the Maoists are the single largest threat to the internal security of the nation. She is openly advocating for the Maoists without any hesitation and justifying their antinational activities of subverting the Constitution and democracy in the country. Both the Prime Minister and the Railway Minister have been walking just in the opposite directions.
The nation, therefore, demands that the Prime Minister should either prevent her from taking recourse to such antinational activities or remove her from the Central Cabinet immediately in national interest because she certainly divulges secret decisions and matters to the antinational terrorists and forces.
