ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINE: গণশক্তির প্রতিবেদন: নয়াদিল্লি, ২১শে মার্চ— নির্বাচনী প্রচারে সীমা থাকা দরকার রাজনৈতিক দলের ওপরও। তা না হলে ভোটে অর্থশক্তির ব্যবহার নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা যাবে না। মঙ্গলবার দিল্লিতে সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনে একথা বলেছেন সি পি আই (এম) সাধারণ সম্পাদক সীতারাম ইয়েচুরি। তিনি বলেন, অর্থশক্তি ব্যবহারের সাম্প্রতিকতম উদাহরণ গোয়া এবং মণিপুর।

ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINE: পেপার ট্রেল ব্যবস্থায় ভোটদানের পর ভোটদাতা যন্ত্র থেকে বেরিয়ে আসা কাগজ দেখতে পারেন। ভোট পছন্দের প্রার্থীরই পক্ষে পড়েছে কিনা নিশ্চিত হতে পারেন।

"Several questions have been raised about the reliability of EVMs. At several places, EVMs did not work properly and data differed from polling station and counting hall records. Usage of EVMs should be suspended till all the doubts about them are cleared and public become confident about their efficacy. Credibility is the essence of the election process, and one cannot ignore the fact that technologically advanced countries like Germany, Ireland, Netherlands and the U.S.A. are either banning or prescribing stringent conditions for the usage of EVMs for registering the public vote." -Chandrababu Naidu, President, TDP

CM Kejriwal earlier alleged that the EVMs were tampered during the recently conducted assembly polls.
