Unity in diversityThe Makar Sankranti festival this year heralds the arrival of two major fairs in India: the Kumbh at Prayag, Allahabad and the annual Gangasagar at the delta of river Ganga near Kolkata. Both the fairs attract huge crowds, mostly from rural India.
